Austrian Picture Show

Now for a change of pace, and to make up for the long delays between the last report and this one, I offer a true and accurate* account of my time in Vienna, staying with webmaster Peter.
This is Peter's house. Not very large, I'll admit, but very cosy.
The interior of Peter's house.
A little sculpture in the back yard.
The view from my window.
When he wasn't looking I had a look in Peter's closet for some clothing to borrow.
I hope he won't notice that I stretched it out a little...
Peter's father drives a nice car, although it was a little breezy.
On our tour around the city we saw many examples of exquisite 21st century scaffolding.
We also had a look in the Hapsburg crypts. Cheery, no?
This is the coffin of the last empress of Austria, Zitha. She's not actually dead yet, and occasionally gets up to yell at the tourists. That's her in the background, in the blue jacket.
Some parts of Vienna reminded me a little of my travels in Turkey, but of course that's silly, because why would there be anything from Ephesus in Austria?
The person in the bottom left-hand corner of this picture is not me. And I'm not talking to Peter's father, either.
This is my train leaving for Venice. I had to take this picture very quickly, then run to catch up.
* that is, the pictures are true and accurate. Their descriptions, on the other hand, are completely false. But then, I hope you have worked that out already.
